1. Nannophya pygmaea (Scarlet pygmy)

The scarlet dwarf or northern pygmyfly can be found in the tropical and subtropical region of Asia and Australasia. With a body of just 17mm long and a hindwing up to 12mm, the Nannophya pygmaea is the smallest dragonfly in Peninsular Malaysia - and one of the tiniest in the world (Choong et al., 2017).

2. Tyriobapta torrida (Treehugger)

3. Prodasineura collaris (Collared threadtail)

4. Ictinogomphus decoratus (Common flangetail)

Eventhough the members in family Gomphidae are forest species, Ictinogomphus decoratus is not one. You can usually spot it perching and patrolling water edge. This dragonfly species is large in size and heavily built (Choong et al., 2017).

5. Camacinia gigantea (Sultan)
