The Admissions and Registration Centre (ARC), Academic Services Department (ASD) held the ARC 2026 Development, Roadmap Planning, and KPI Workshop at Rimba Ilmu. On their second day, they were led by Ilyana for a guided walk into the botanical garden, conservatory, and exhibition hall.
On the second week of June, 15 staff from Secret Recipe joined Rimba Ilmu for a CSR program where they upkeep the bambusetum area with the trails surrounding it. Later in the week, we were joined by 10 staff from Hotel Alila, Bangsar for a CSR program focused on the research trail.
Rimba Ilmu was a part of World Environment Day celebration in Taman Tugu where we set up a booth showcasing our books, posters, merchandise, and dry specimens of wild pandan fruit and pokok lontar fruit. There was a good size of crowd curious about the kind of activities that can be done in Rimba Ilmu.
Lastly, the second last sampling for the aquatic ecology study was conducted in all three sites of Rimba Ilmu's water bodies. The shoes were swabbed and brought back to Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Malaya.
