On 2nd October we received 100 students and 11 teachers from Taylor's International College for a guided walk. The participants were divided between four experienced nature guides: Ilyana Hassya, Rimba's Research Officer, Dr. Amirah Aqilah, Rimba's intern under YELL UNDP, Dr. Khairul Azmi, Rimba's Senior Science Officer, and Shyam Venkatachalam, a master's student in botany.
On 15-16 October, The Growing Tree Kindergarten visited us with 30 students on both days. The guided walk was done by Ilyana and Dr. Amirah, bringing them from the botanic garden to the conservatory and finished at the exhibition hall.
Students of Ecology Biodiversity, Faculty of Science, Universiti Malaya conducted a nature education program called Wheels of Wildlife. They managed 40 kindergarteners throughout the day filled with hands-on activities in and out of the botanic garden.
SMK Dang Anum, Melaka visited us on 30th October with 40 students and 4 teachers, guided by Ilyana. This group was brought by MNS member, Ayadurai Letchumanan.
We closed the month of October with a gotong-royong and tree planting with VCI Global Limited with saplings donated by Forest House Sdn Bhd.
